Right

Added incentive to actually get things sorted this week - if I manage to get a doctor's appointment for this week or Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday, I can go back up to Consett for a week or so, and return in time for the next Wednesday LARP.

I think I've been spoiled by the holidays. It's been the first time since moving out of Starkey that I've got to spend as much time with Steve as I liked. I was glad for the snow, because it meant we couldn't go anywhere and so wouldn't have to say goodbye. He's coming back tomorrow for LARP and convention, but then it'll be another goodbye unless I go too, and even the last two days has seemed overly harsh. Yesterday I lay in bed for ages, waiting for nothing, and only got up when my stomach was aching from not having eaten.

Wish we could have got a flat together in York for this year, and for the summer just gone. Then there wouldn't be any goodbyes.
'It's summer!' does not mean 'turn the thermostat down to 0'. It means, 'do not manually switch on heating'. The thermostat is allowed to stay on 15-ish so that the freezing windy morning doesn't prevent me from getting out of bed, but that the heating isn't on when the sun is warming the house.

Also, I found another person who I could theoretically do this BSc project with. Maybe.

Housing argh. I've sent one email to an agent asking if they had any properties at all (I'm poaching the student let ones again, on the hopes that they'll be desperate enough to get /someone/ into their properties that they'll be cheap. Maybe. Or, y'know, overlook Steve's circumstances. The thing is, though - I need somewhere to live in York, he wants somewhere to live in York (i.e. where I and our friends am). I mean, yes I'd much much much rather we were living together, but I recognise that it might not be doable.

Also, wah boundary conditions. My code is giving propogating errors. complex propogating errors!
Good news: When I asked the doctor if, brief medicalness ) she could test for Celiac at the same time, she just ticked the box on the form with no fuss whatsoever. Yay! The bad news is, I might not get the result before the Shatleg event. Ah well.

So. Ended up sat on the side of my bed for ages just sat and not doing anything. I think I was waiting for Steve to come in from brushing his teeth or whatever, despite the fact that he's, y'know, in Durham. Tamar is silly.

Self reflection )

Also, Vainglory LARP was awesome yesterday. Exhausting, but awesome. Next time, though, less skirt, more paying attention when my greaves have turned sideways and I'm walking through thistles. Also, ensure that there are dry towels for after. And waterproofing of everything beforehand. Yes.

(Also, yay stompy alliance)
Valentine's Day failed.

*is sad*
