Wah, the Tower Ogre has killed my party three times and I'm not blessed with patience. I barely remember this fight last time because it was over so fast... Any hints?

ETA:

I won! Though I had to shift it down to 'easy' mode. I'll do it 'properly' next time.

I got the Guard to actually use his bow /not/ in the middle of the room, and my mage to be in healer mode - though she didn't take any lirium potions like the tactics told her to, so Alisdair fell really quickly, because she ran out of mana and was just attacking instead of healing. Next time I'll make sure that 'take lirium potion if you have no mana' is at the TOP of the tactics list!

I had Alisdair running around as a tank until then, shield-bashing and pommel-bashing. When he dropped I made the mage take a damn potion and had the soldier (who I'd ignored entirely earlier) running around with threaten on and getting healed instead.

Oh, my, that sounds exciting. I can't wait until I get Return to Ostagar.

It's not worth it. Stone Prisoner, yes. Warden's Keep, yes. Golems of Amgarrak, yes (but only if you like BRUTALLY IMPOSSIBLE FIGHTS). The rest... not really.

I know, but I want. I want to complete the whole thing before I move onto greener pastures. IDK WHY. IT WOULD BE MONEY WASTED. BUT I'VE GOT TO.

I DON'T LIKE BRUTALLY IMPOSSIBLE FIGHTS. I TEND TO NOT QUIT TILL I WIN AND FORGET ANY SORT OF RESPONSIBILITY.

I habitually hit the spacebar mid-combat to tweak things (bloody archers for example). Under all the character portraits on the left hand side there's a little thing you can toggle which either makes things stay where they are (and requires clicking on things to get them to attack) or causes the entire party to follow the current selected character around, disrupting formations. If memory serves correctly 'H' is the keyboard shortcut. If you move too far away from the party before putting it back on, then they will reappear next to you when you reactivate (does not work mid-combat). Very useful for stealth rogues going on ahead and setting/disarming traps.

I think how I've got it set up is such that they don't follow me around if I tell them to go somewhere else and then their tactics won't let them move (so, the archer has to keep archer-ing, the mage has to keep mage-ing). ...I think I'm pretty much doing everything through the tactics menu, actually. That's probably a good thing? XD
