You know...

My fandom life has been relatively long, but I've still managed to entertain the delusion that the people I know in a certain fandom were there with me since the beginning, and managed to follow on and keep up. That blatently isn't true.

Of the people on that very first hyperboard BB, I believe that I am still in touch, somehow, with about six of the seven. I had discovered ff.net through the Teen Titans fandom at TvTome, and suddenly the entirety (or so I thought, then) of my new, titcher of a fandom was there posting. Haunted Flower got me into Slash (Rai/Jack was actually the first ever slash pairing that I ever read, and so it holds a special place in my shippy heart hence the smut I just wrote; Oh my!), and a fair number seemed to follow (if not there already), if not fully into Slash, into Smarm (Remember the 'Batty Bwoy' potion? Hil-AR-ious. Was that you, Jadey, or krums? Or both of you?).

However, those small few now aren't the entirety of the fandom anymore. I can't expect people now to have read my first ever XS fic (or to read it now when it starts off with 8 pages of an OC following Raimundo around as the first arc) - it was started in 2004, too, when my writing wasn't as good.

For one thing, I've learnt to spell Raimundo's name. I've also learnt, and practised, the use of commas and semicolons. I can even use who and whom correctly!

Hence the rehaul. When I've done the last arc WIP style, it'll be edited, corrected, and another-synonym-for-edit-ed, and the page breaks will vanish to give one chapter when there were nine (or at least, where there were five). Mandy will be useful (or not - she's pretty damn un-sueish for being the third or fourth OC in our baby section. Her main trait is being a distant descendant of Jack - this was planned when I liked het, obviously.) In short: it will be readable for folks who weren't at the same stage of fannishness as me at the same time as me.

Now, whether this is a relief-post about I-don't mind-if-you-read-it-not-or-later or an attempt to draw your attention to the fact that I have updated this fic with a un-cut bomb of text, that's your call to make. ^_-

Not to be ignorant but is learnt even a real word? I'm just asking seeing how your talking about spelling and grammar errors.

Learnt is the 'proper' irregular past tense past participle of 'to learn'. The regular form is gradually becoming more accepted (rather like how no-one uses 'whom' anymore), which is probably why you might hear 'learned' more often.

Regularisation is a sign of a language's age. *nods* Couple hundred years and 'goed' might be common. O_o

The batty bwoy potion was me. Krums did have a hand in it, though, it was inspired by the just-as-hilarious comments we were making on the LJ community at the time. The batty bwoy stuff I put on ffnet was just the tip of the iceberg, really. :D

I just remember being in hystercal laughter for about ten minutes after finishing a chapter, and that chasing arond London was involved. XD That was taken down when you did your big purge, wasn't it? *sigh*

... Ah, season one. Back when no-one had any qualms about slashing Omi.

You know, this entry made me go back through all the posts [livejournal.com profile] sparksearcher (krums) and I did. Ages ago, we were talking about Rai/Clay - sparksearcher pointed out a bit in Shen Yi Bu where Clay picks up Rai by his underpants - and it all sparked off from there. This is the offending thread, in fact. Following this, I posted some scripts that led up to the ones on ff.net. I took them off ff.net because I thought they'd be better off on LJ, really. I might put them back up on my journal, together with the other scripts I did on LJ that no one else saw. Reading them again, they really are funny.

Those were the days, weren't they? I miss my small fandom, along with TV tome...

*sigh* I wonder what it would have been like if the producers hadn't changed?

*reads through old post comments* It's funny to see you younger than I am now. ^_^

Heh, yeah, I added it to my (ever-growing) to-do list. ^_^ Don't be surprised if you see no response for ages and then have loads of review alerts all at once.
