Well, that's a bust...

First thing in the bus today, I try to access http://tamerterra.livejournal.com/mobile , but Vodafone live! tells me that there is a Content Blocker that can only be disabled by proving that I am over 18. Which, um, I'm not. So that's a bugger.

I then go to Vodafone mail to test out my new sponsored+ powers of remote-posting. I write a nice couple of paragraphs (with that bloody help-text that it is impossible to disable), click send, and it tells me that my session has timed out and I have to do it all over again. *facepalm*

So I gave up and spent the next ten hours plotting for fics (I have one in the works that- I'll put an aster-kiss here and talk aboout it in a minute: *), and trying to prove an intigral/differential link between Addition and Multiplication. I was so extatic when I found that the intigral of 3+3 = 3x3 and that the intigral of 4+4 = 4x4 ... But then nothing else worked. XD

I know why those two worked, though.

Intigration is when you raise the exponent of a by one and divide aⁿ by n. Say that a=3. As 3+3 is really 2a, and 3x3 is really 3², then of course the intigral equals what it's supposed to. That's the whole point to differentiation and intigration.

*facepalm*

* Okay, this fic idea. It starts off with Kimiko and Omi coming up with some plan to achieve something (I'll figure it out later) which involves Raimundo spying out Chase's home. He doesn't want to, but goes anyway, bringing most of their Shen-Gong-Wu (unbeknowst to the others) with him to get Wuya to let him stay.

Integration is the addition of smaller and smaller, equal changes of an arbitrary x. The point of it is usually to differentiate a whole into such small pieces that each individual equal value is almost at zero. Remember Xeno's paradox? Well it works backwards, too. You will never reach zero. This is where multiplication comes into play (well...vicariously, because it's actually division to be specific). You can divide and divide and divide, but just as a series of fractions of 1 such as 1+1/2+1/3...etc...will never reach a number such as 5 despite an "infinity" (whatever that may be) of values, endless division of a 1 will never take us to zero. The reason why we want the change in x (this is where integration relates to differentiation, or taking derivatives) to be so close to zero is because we want the most precise and exact picture of the whole. The whole is the sum of it's parts, and the more we know about the parts, the more we can say about the whole. In macroscopic and microscopic structures this is very important. It's also important describing and working with any non-symmetrical shape because you can view anything as a straight line if you "zoom in" far enough. In general relatavistic physics, it comes into play in the free-float frame. Special relativity only works because of calculus--if we make an experimental setting small enough, or an experiment fast enough, or use an effective combination of both, we can avoid tidal accelerations and use the schwarszchild metric to add up (integrate) a bunch of different views from different free-float and shell frames, use the lorentz transformation in conjunction with the metric and voila, we are able to continue along straight world-lines, or geosidics from flat to curved space-time without inconsistencies. If the point of the coordinate plane is to essentially locate anything in the world, the point of calculus along with a 4-dimensional "coordinate plane" (northward, eastward, upward, timewise--onward) is to essentially describe anything in the universe. I hope this makes sense. There are no simple connections between addition and multiplication in intregration or differentiation besides their basic formulaic relationship that I'm aware of.

To tell the truth, I'm probably using it wrong. It comes from programming language (C++, IIRC), where it is shorthand for 'not' So 'Evil!Raimundo' would mean 'evil-not-Raimundo' which some folk in the ficwriting world (including me, apparently...) interpret as 'A Raimundo is is evil, and therefore unlike his canon counterpart.' Okay?
