Have any of you ever updated an ff.net story, and then got a review so fast (about a minute later) that you double-take and wonder if they did more than skim it. I mean, that 4th Chapter of 524 (yes, I'm hinting) should have taken a bit longer than that to read.

That's happened to me. I submitted a new chappie and got a review a minute later. But I knew who it was (it was Sparkie and we were both online at the same time) so it doesn't count. She normally tells me what she thinks about a new chapter of mine in the LJ community, so a review from her isn't necessary.

Heh, if it's someone casually reading, they must read ever so fast... Makes you wonder whether they read the fic at all.

Well, it was someone who had the story on Email Alert, so she would have had time to click the 'you have new mail' icon, open the inbox, open the mail, click the link, and type the review really quickly - but that onlt leaves about 10 seconds to read the fic. (two word pages btw, not much, but still).
