My Coming Out story - A work in progress

tj_roweI know I said that I would be backdating a few entries yesterday - but just as I finished typing a fuse blew and I was computer-less. -__-;;
What I was going to tell-back was... (cut for many referances to bisexuality, length, and the infamous 'practising' joke)
The convos:
(italics = lowering voice ominously)
Pheds: You've been acting really weird lately!
Me: ... And?
Pheds: Are you, like, Bisexual?
Me: What's wrong with that?
Pheds: *weird shocked gasp thingy* Are you?
Me: *repeating* What's wrong with that?
Pheds: But are you?
Me: Yeah.
Pheds: Stace! That's reallyreally(OMG) bad! You're practicing homosexuality!
Me: It's not like I practise much...
Pheds: *rolleyes* That's really bad.
Me: ... You're not going to go all fundie christian on me, are you?
Pheds: *was on her way to get her bible*
Me: This stays in the room, got it?
A little bit later, after she told all our friends, I pointed out David and Jonathan, which shut her up for a bit - until she got backup.
Mills: You're not Bisexual, it's a lie from God!
Me: ... Did you just...?
Mills: I mean Satan! It's a lie from Satan!
It's rather thought provoking that a Fundie Xian gets God and Satan mixed up...
Ollie: Lets get Milly to join - between us we can debate her into the ground! (/paraphrased scene-setting)
Me: Maybe it's best if Mills doesn't come - we've already got enough debate outside on why my bisexuality is teh ebil and bad. Riight...
Ollie: *makes random joke that I didn't hear properly*
Me: ...
Ollie: So when did you decide that you couldn't decide?
Me: Couple months ago.
Ollie: *laughs*
Me: *raises eyebrows*
Ollie: Wait, you're serious?
Me: *nods*
Ollie: *holds monolouge about whether he could be, then decides against it*
Ollie: *soliloquises until his sister comes into the room with her tribe of friends*
I'm an attention whore. Really. If I'm closeted about anything, I make it really obvious until it's public knowledge. Once I noticed that that was what I was doing, I started that conversation with Pheds. I hate trying to be subtle and making a fool of myself. The idea was that she'd tell Mills and Lottie (she did), and then Milly would try to discuss it at inopertune moments - I wouldn't have to do anyhting.
Luckily, I have a precedent of not changing myself because of what Milly's Bible says. I came out of the Broom-closet a few years ago (in much the same way, IIRC) so she shouldn't be too pushy on it.
Her main closing "Now I'll run away before you can refute me" argument is "And David was not Bisexual!" *scamper*

Whatever. Huzzah for being bi!

Date: 2005-10-30 01:20 pm (UTC)i did the whole telling one mate who would in turn tell the rest so i wouldnt have to start up the convo tonnes of times!! hee hee! yeah, ive had a lot of flack for being indecisive from some mates but screw them man, its none of their business. hurrah for coming out! :)
