Doing things!

tj_roweI have successfully showered AND eaten breakfast AND removed the lining on my new skirt that was far more constricting than the skirt itself was. Now it doesn't try to trip me up when I move usually, and I am wearing it. It will need a new lining, because it's made of wool, but I can do that at some other point.
In an hour or so I need to stick my hair under the showerhead again and then go out to have the ends tidied up from where I cut it on Sunday. (I could pay an extra tenner and have them stick my hair under a showerhead, but... why?) I re-redded it again as well, but it doesn't seem to have taken as well.
Having short hair is very different to having long hair. I've slept on it twice now without brushing it beforehand or doing anything, and it hasn't tangled! And I don't need to brush the shampoo or conditioner through my hair! I think I'm going to get hold of another wide-toothed comb, because I only needed one of those the last time my hair was this short (I think I was 16 or 17?)
Also, I have set clothes washing ready for 1318. And it is SUNNY! so drying of said clothes should occur pretty quickly. I might be able to do more washing later in the week, but I know better than to rely on that, so I shan't wear any of my leggings or larp-bras until the actual event (I am a strange human who cannot just pack [number of days] of underwear, because I might irrationally decide that no! I must wear this particular style, not that particular style! - generally based on what my body expects itself to look like and so which bits I want to ignore. My body is generally happiest when I let it do what it wants without questioning too hard).
I should totally find all the kit I want to bring. I have a kit description-ish for one of my NPCs (that was the kit I put together yesterday), but not the other one, so... Um. Hopefully I'll be able to borrow stuff for that one. Also, lots of scarves that can be passed around and swapped easily for ear-coverage.
