  • The Fez is atop the antelope. I don't remember the other phrase, sadly. Somehow, the fez was occaisionally atop the antelope even when the fez was not, actually, atop the antelope.

  • My god likes me! THIS HAS NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE, and how many characters have I played?

  • Killing something very nearly unkillable (or, rather, only usually killable by three or more armored mages working together) BY MYSELF

  • House Yellesh. Oh, House Yellesh. Especially that guy whose name I never learnt, and whose player I have already squeed at extensively. Seriously, roleplay resulting in tears is ALWAYS good! (Even if you have to try and rescue the snazz.)

  • Mid-conversation snazz changes. I love these. Especially when (IC) you don't notice, but everyone around does.

  • That the lady who works at the shop where I buy my milk saw the Procession Of Larpers walking down Hull Road afterwards (starting on Lawrence Street, two leaving at Melrosegate, the other five of us only splitting off at the pub).

  • The whole 'fuck it, let's dump all of our magic into buffs and fight these unkillable creatures WITHOUT CASTING ANYTHING' bit. I was SO ming for ten minutes there. Not that it helped much.

  • Noticing that the rest of the Players had already fled except for me, the undead, and one person who was on his deathcount. Two of us held off two trolls long enough for me to get a bandage around him and get down the hill, but after that everything was CONFUSION and RUNNING!

  • I saw this on a refly froth post: was it seriously three miles? No wonder we were steps away from collapse!

  • Swapping spells with Katrina

  • Overhearing the coaching of theomantic cheat codes

  • Themras.

  • The Tasks. So much yay with trying to do my best at everything while also being a bit lost and in over my head and not sure of the best course of action. The one that properly sticks in my mind is the one by the river, when Jeff (is his character's name still foip?) was chasing things and the rest of us kept getting shot by arrows, and again, everyone else fled while I found them about as annoying as the ditch that was too large for me to jump comfortably. In hindsight, I'm glad that we didn't just keep chasing, because we'd have eventually ended up with two of us in the place where the big final fight happened, which wouldn't have gone well for us at all.

  • Speaking of CHASING THINGS, the 'walk' in from the dreadnaught. Having been designated the role of 'tank', I went charging through the thistles and undergrowth after the flankers and archers, heedless of the fact that my knees were bare under my greaves (and that my greaves have a tendancy to turn sideways) until I went through an especially bad patch and realised afterward that blood was running into my sock. Gladly, I had IC bandages so could use one of those to tie it up and stop blood from getting on my dress (yes, I was so high on adrenaline that my dress was the concern, there - though, given my tanking nature IC, that would most likely have been the case for Morranna, too).

  • I got quite cold on Friday night, so was glad of the fleece and cloak (which got left in camp when we fled, oh noes). I also resolved to wear leggings rather than shorts under my skirt the next day as a result, but Saturday night was the night I defeated the thing that I didn't expect to defeat, and was so warm from fighting for the rest of the night that I handed my cloak off to Zeal.

  • Sneaking up on a goblin disguised as a pile of stuff in the dark. I was crawling quietly, trying to hear whether it was breathing or not, and just as I got close enough (an arm's length) to go 'right, if it was a monster it would have moved or attacked me by now, therefore it's stuff and I can relax' it daggered me and suddenly I was surrounded by three of them. Yay for hands spells.

  • Making references to my various abnormalities in casual conversation.

  • Getting shushed by a G'Dansk marine.

  • The conversation with GEO about history and the various things that various other things could be referencing in the things we'd just read.

  • Getting far enough into my deathcount, behind enemy lines, that I thought I'd better do the counting after all. I'd not sure who it was that fought them off me. O_o

  • My spear getting caught in the branches of trees so often that I had to occaisionally resort to hand-fighting. I love hand-fighting. I need more spells.

  • Sleeping in a room full of other people is strangely relaxing. Even if one of them won't stop shuffling around and go to sleep already. Also, thank you so much to Gemma for waking us up with TEA. Tea...
  • The deep-fried goblin-balls for lunch on Sunday, made of leftovers. Om nom.
  • Actually, thank you to everyone who was present for being AWESOME and making the event so awesome. It was very awesome, and though I couldn't move at all yesterday morning, and had to have a nap in the afternoon, it was all so totally worth it. You guys were awesome, especially the refs for organising it.
