'Greta' being the potential future character I've been referring to as 'Mage#2' on chats. ^^;;

Greta watched their assailants carefully, aware that she was the only one of the team of New Star adventurers left standing. Her comrades were on the ground, some only wounded but most mortally so, and a great many of the bandits were lying about dead.

"Surrender!" their leader barked, taking no nonsense. He wore plate mail, and had thrown around spells far more powerful that hers. She couldn't win, at least not now with Feodor and Knightley bleeding behind her and unable to counter the worst of his spells. She lowered her sword (borrowed from someone earlier, she didn't remember who) to the ground, and held her hands up to they could see she wouldn't cast spells.

A nod from the man in plate, and a woman came forward, muttering, 'By my faith in Black Anna...' as she laid her hands on Stanimere. As soon as she saw him stir, Greta dropped her hands to craft the magic she needed. The man in plate shouted to their auramancer to silence her, but it was too late - the spell was done.

"By my scholarship of the Art, Mina's Mercy!"

A wave of heat later, she knew no more.

This means that you have a mage#1 character lined up first. This means you have at least two character ideas to work through before getting to this one. You're already writing fic about her.

The worst thing is that *I'm* being blamed.

'Mage#1' being the Barbarian Mage - the character who I was going to play before Adel, who I showed you all the background for and had half of it vetoed. ^_--

(Also, I assumed for the fic that mages can cast offensive spells on themselves, but is that canon?)

You're being blamed? For what, exactly?
