The Great Livejournal Strikethrough of 2007, eh?

I only knew about it because of a Tom Riddle/Harry Potter comm that I visit, and then the news post, but...

Did anyone reading here get baleeted? My userpage just has [livejournal.com profile] dark_witchcraft newly struck, but that could have been ages ago. ^^;

Really, didn't know about it, huh? Just as well, I suppose-- it's been pretty crazy. x_x Better you didn't sit through the chaos. On another note: http://tkp.livejournal.com/65642.html A (very funny) Pictorial Log of the wait for 6A/LJ's explanation.

I lol'd.

Why does the the internet crazy always happen at the same time as meatspace crazy?

Have you seen [livejournal.com profile] fandom_counts yet?

'Cause the Powers That Be think it's amusing? ><;

And yes, I've seen fandom_counts... but I forgot to join. Eep!

With this whole LJ kerfuffle, I'm thinking that maybe it's a good idea to have an alternative... but I saw that layout on GJ, and it's making me hesistate.

The problem is that, LJ fandom can't move, because else it wouldn't be LJ fandom.

I mean, I liked BB fandom and messageboard fandom (hated Y!groups fandom) but LJ-format is so much... better. I've got an IJ and a GJ, but there's already a different kind of fandom at GJ and IJ (www.insanejournal.com)... well it isn't really started yet. It could be good, later - but I've already invested so much into LJ that finding everything again is going to be hell.

*shoots at PTB*

Huh, weird. I decided to go ahead and make a GJ, and it already said I had an account. o_O When did THAT happen? Oh well...

It could be good, later - but I've already invested so much into LJ that finding everything again is going to be hell.

Yes on both counts-- although the XS fandom seems so dead, it doesn't seem to matter anymore... [pokes XS fandom with a stick] But it seems most of the people from the Buffy fandom are staying, so I'm probably sticking around.

That's a point - I've become a general LJ-fannish person rather than an [x] fan, and [x] fannishness is much easier to recreate (ah, BBs...).

XS fandom gets the odd fic every now and then, but apart from that? By the time we're forced away, HP fandom will be dead (or, as close-to as possible, given the critical mass), and I'll just have my little circle of BBC fandoms left.

...Damn, I need a new fandom.

I do too. D: My main fandoms are fading away. XS is dead and has pretty much been rotting in the sun. Rockman... what happened to the Rockman fandom? Where has everyone gone in the last few months!? [flails] Buffy... well, it's actually pretty active, after ten years, but only here and maybe a few places outside LJ.

...I hear Doctor Who is good... or maybe I'll try Heroes...

DW and Heroes are both awesome. Well, I hear that the Ten/Rose shippers are batshit, and so are some of the Peter/Claire shippers, but the rest is awesome. Especially the Petrellicest. ^_^
