I've noticed, in Marauder-era fic, that whenever an author wants there to be a girl who gets pregnant and leaves early, she's always a Ravenclaw.

HA. I don't think I've ever read one where a girl leaves school and gets pregnant, but that's still a pretty amusing statistic.

I thought the Ravenclaws were supposed to be the smart ones? Shouldn't the Hufflepuffs and Slytherins be the ones that get pregnant?

I reckon it's a 'don't flame meee! *cower*' thing from the authors - If it's a Gryffindor then they're celebrating Teen Preggers, if it's a Hufflepuff then they're making a statement of how stupid it is, if it's a Slytherin they're making a statement of how evil it is, but Ravenclaws are neutral, I guess.

I guess that's a good explanation. Not to knock anyone who was a pregnant teen, it kinda is stupid though. Nobody's ready to have a kid when they're a teenager. Legally you can't take care of yourself, nevermind a baby.
