Dear Diary,
Have blown Christmas Money on CDs.
~Tamar.
(This would be very very bad if I'd got more than a tenner. As it was - Yay summer factory job, bulk-buy discounts and student discounts!)
Pantera - Vulgar Display of Power
Cradle of Filth - Damnation and a Day (wanted Thornography, but they didn't have it)
The Best of Deicide
LostProphets - Liberation Transmission
Paramore - all we know is falling (Emergency iTunes file)
Trivium - the crusade
Sepultura - Chaos A.D.
Disturbed - Ten Thousand Fists
Funeral For A Friend - casually dressed and deep in conversation
Fear Candy 36
36 Crazyfists - A snow-capped romance
ETA: The track 'Rookie of the Year' on the FfaF one won't rip.
It's weird how everyone seems to have gone off of Trivium since 'the crusade' came out. I mean, maybe I'm a no0b, but I like Heafy's new vocal style. 'Anthem' was the song that drew me to the band in the first place - I bought (and loved!) Ascendancy to fill in the time until Xmas. And the Kerrang! 2006 CD with 'Detonation' was icing. There's an interview with him in Kerrang!...
Yet still, Rammstein and Seth Lakeman have the most songs in my library. ^_^

Hello
Date: 2007-01-03 01:19 am (UTC)A happy new year to you. You just popped into my head today and I thought I'd say hi. I don't have your email address anymore so this is my only way to contact you.
-Randy
Re: Hello
Date: 2007-01-03 01:35 am (UTC)*laughs*
I'm doing all right, I'm doing all right. I've applied for Physics at Cambridge, just finished a Winterfest challenge, infiltrated an Evangelical Church... It turns out that you're not such a weirdo, compared to that lot... *shudder*
Have a good 2007! ^_^
(PS. My email address is in my profile, you goose! XD)

Cambridge? Heavy duty stuff, ey?
I'll make a note of your email.

Date: 2007-01-03 02:11 am (UTC)And now she has herself convinced that not only am I two-faced (true, in this case), but that the 'oh yes, I love hearing about how someone told someone who told you how we should live our lives' face is my 'true self'.
So everything's fucked up, if you'll excuse my Germanic.
I mean, everyone presents themselves differently depending on what company they are keeping. It's basic. If I'm wanting to find out what's eating her up inside, I've got to make the face I show as compatible with her views as possible - act as her foil, if you will.
But that face being put forward sometimes doesn't mean that I'm being 'false' when I'm acting normally - using blasphemous humour, flirting and looking critically at things that need it.
Sorry for the diatribe, but the subject always makes me want to vent. I shouldn't have mentioned it. -_-;;
Yar, Cambridge. Should be getting a letter of confirmation of offer/rejection any day now, actually... I found the interview process fun, so I hope I was eccentric enough
*smile* It should be good to speak with you again, Randy.

Date: 2007-01-03 02:40 am (UTC)You're a wiccan, correct? Or is it athiest? I'm afraid I don't remember.
It's been a solid year since we've talked. I haven't logged into this thing since then. I thought a new "about me" was in order along with a new picture.

Date: 2007-01-03 02:08 pm (UTC)I got rejected (http://tamerterra.livejournal.com/136055.html), I found out this morning. The interview process was well worth the trying, though. ^_^
Ah, my years of religious immaturity! I'm now a Miscellaneous Pagan with LaVeyan leanings. I've never been fluffy enough to be a Wiccan. XD Actually, I'm in the process of fashioning a new Sophia based on the difference between a writer and an author...
Solid year, eh? Seems longer.
Sorry
Date: 2007-01-03 02:53 pm (UTC)According to livejournal, I left you a comment in early January of 2006. We wished each other happy new years.
Re: Sorry
Date: 2007-01-03 05:07 pm (UTC)I can go to Hull, if I want. Also, I needn't do double-maths. XD
How did you manage to find a comment left that long ago? O_o I lose them two weeks after falling off the end...

Date: 2007-01-03 05:14 pm (UTC)You left it in my blog. Since I haven't updated anything since last year, it was right on top.
