We started going around in circles again - right ones. I then had to do a three-point turn to face toward the road, and then we went around in circles to the left.

I practised stopping as we went - Ashley, one of the higher-up blokes in the factory, was in the process of leaving and we wern't sure whether he was gone yet. Also, Mum was getting a bit 'I shall gasp as loudly as possibly every time you stop', so I had to practise it. My pulling away was getting fairly smooth by the end, at least. XD

Then she decided that we would try to go into 2nd gear. So I had to go forward almost to the road, then reverse all the way back to the fence.

Now, I hate reversing. Mostly because I have to use the clutch to control my speed - to any pros or recent passers (Brit system) among you, is that allowed?

When I got back to the fence (using mirrors yay!), I had to stop, handbrake, change to 1st and then go again, accelerating (I had discovered earlier that the 'background revvs' are enough to keep going forward), then push the clutch in and change to second and gentle the clutch off all before hitting the road again, when I had to stop.

And Mum was surprised that I didn't stall. XD It went fairly smoothly, actually.

We did that a couple more times, but on the fourth one I did stall it in a spectactular fashion - it felt like it was trying to buck me out! Then I just drove back onto the road to park it in the bottom carpark - and I did park it! Inside the lines and everything!
