You know how quantum particles change what they're doing depending on how they're being watched? I reckon that fate, and people work like that too.
Say you go and get your fortune told, and it's bad. (insert whatever counts as 'bad' for you, there) Soyou go out of your way to try to avoid it coming true. But by going out of your way, you end up causing whatever it was. Self-fulfilling prophesy.
A lot of things that you do, you have no idea of the far reaching consequences. Silly little things. Say that you forget to pick up your purse as you rush out of the door, so as you go back and get it, you end up leaving 5mins later and the learner driver that you would have had a collision with has turned off of the road before you get to it.
That's why, even though religiously I affiliate myself with Paganism and Witchcraft, I don't do any spells, and only tell my own fortune to myself. You can never tell what the consequences will be. And Karma can be a bitch.
