tj_rowe...and so now two subjects which really don't go together are in one post. Oh well.
First:
You know where I think this is all going? With the Dragon going all 'Morgana is EVIL, don't be friends with her!' since the first series, and Merlin constantly thwarting attempts on Uther's life, and Arther getting more and more turned against magic (while getting softer on the whole noble/commoner divide), partly because of how Merlin and Gaius explain stuff away, and all the High Priestesses (that haven't already been killed off my Uther) getting killed off by Merlin (no, it hasn't happened to Morgause yet, but mark my words...)?
In the end, Arthur's going to have this 'great' kingdom, and it'll be all peaceful, but all the magic users are going to be killed off never to return (power over life and death? pah!) and then Merlin'll exile himself off with the dragon or something, and as everything's crumbling around his ears Merlin'll be all 'I didn't mean for this to happen!' and the dragon'll laugh at him.
Basically, they may have made the 'magical people as oppressed minority' comparison early on, but that doesn't mean they get a happy ending. Actually, they're really all evil (especially the kids - you see Mordred?) and should be killed. So there.
And they'll distract from the downer ending by concluding the romantic subplots.
But I'm going to keep watching!
The other thing, is that my application to do my final year over two years has been approved! I get to do Uni part time!
ETA: Modules are Quantum Mechanics II, Thermodynamics, and Mathematical Physics this term, as well as Skills.
Also! A Third Thing! There is NaNo soon. I have reactivated my account, but don't know whether I'm going to do it. (I might do the x-amount-of-time-writing rather than x-many-words - given that time is a Thing which I need to learn to use better.)
