I'm starting to think that I might manage NaNo entirely in downtimes. [/exaggeration] I love writing while totally emotionally invested in what I'm creating. It's draining, but also euphoric and so worthwhile. Especially if you end up writing something that makes you squee when you re-read it.
Of course, about ten minutes after you've clicked 'send' or 'post', when the euphoria of 'I did a Thing!' has worn off a little bit, there's always the 'oh, I should have added this other point into the second-last paragraph!' but it's a bit late, then. ^_^
