Storage over the Summer Holiday in York

I'm thinking of my plan for the start of the hols (York 15th June-30th of June, Devon for two weeks, dunno after that), and the complete unknown that is the end of the hols (hopefully on campus, maybe with strangers or agreeable people off campus), and with the fact that there are LARP events all summer (Fair, Renewal and Shatleg at least), and a good few people in general will be moving all over or not in York, or want to be in York but not have any accomodation, and I'm thinking of renting a self-store unit from about the 25th of June until I have a more permanent address - there's stuff like duvets, my bike, and most of my LARP kit that I'll want access to in York, is awkward to transport, etc etc. Is there anybody around that would want to share over any of that time? The containers are huge, even the little ones, and no-one's going to want to store furniture, I wouldn't think.

There seems to be two companies on James Street, which is on the 8 bus route, and 400m-ish from the 10, 4 etc. We used Pickfords two years ago, and it seemed to go well (though I wasn't the one dealing with them financially), so I'd probably go for them again, unless the other one gives a better deal. Being on the 8 route would also mean that instead of paying 70 quid for a van like last time (divided by five, thankfully), I could gather together some people, get a number of day passes for the bus (£3.70 each, last I checked), and do a couple of trips instead. Or borrow a person-with-car.

(If I'd been more aware when I moved from Starkey to Tuke, both are on the route for the 6. *facepalm*)
