You know what? I just might write a Mary Sue story, just for the hell of it. Mary Sues aren't nearly as bad as they're made out to be - it's a perfect character that everyone loves/hates, so what? Sue stories can be okay to read. Heck, there are some folk that prefer sue stories. I'm not one of them, but sure.
An OC Mary Sue is better than turning a canon character into a self insert.
So, I can write that Winifred, the true heir of Slytherin, comes to Hogwarts in 6th Form after moving into No.6 Privet Drive, because well, I can if I want to. What's all the big fuss about Sue-ish characters anyway?
