I also had to get to grips with German and French, suddenly be expected to know the Lord's Prayer off by heart (lol) and discover that 'The Victorians' wasn't the only period of British history. ^^:
..Yeah, my first school was crap. Maths, chess and local-ness was about all it was good for.
The one I moved to was fairly good, though - and that one had the pen rule too, now that I think.
