Exams and plans

So, my results were better than expected - I get to resit two 20 credit module groups as if for the first time (thus meaning that if I fail, I have to go on leave of absence for a year and resit for the second time. Thus, lots of second chances. I say 'get to' rather than 'have to' for a reason: most of my exam results were in the low forties or high thirties, so I wouldn't be able to stay on the MPhys with them. I suspected that would happen - the stuff I could answer (i.e. had been concious for the lectures on), I did well at, the stuff I didn't didn't get done and some of that got zero weighted.

My lab report, which I just about have working code for now, is zero-weighted. This means I get 67% in labs, yay! Basically, everything I was well for, I got a comfortable 2:1 for (except Particle Physics, which I got 81% - a high first, but only a five credit module), things I was ill for I either failed and got zero-weighted, or got a bare pass.

I'm glad it's only four modules for the summer, though. Any more and I don't think I'd be doing my summer placement. Which, btw, I have to get back to my supervisor how we want to organise it by Monday morning. I may have the option of doing it next year, but if I get dropped off the MPhys (by my retakes not being good enough), then I won;t be a penultimate year student, so wouldn't be able to get my bursary. So, this year is good. Also, I want to do it, even if the project itself gets simplified or shortened.

Shatleg event should be weekend after exams. This can only be good. I may make another yay larp post in a bit, but I'm tired.

Still ill. I think it might be in my ears too, now, so fail.

Anybody out there looking for housemates for next year in York? I'll be on sofas from 1st of Oct. I know one of you might be looking in Leeds, but not sure if train fares make that feasible.
