Speaking of things that people never listen to: "IS ANYONE OUT THERE?" It's downright odd to upload a chapter of XS fic and have complete silence for... three days? Woah, it seemed so much longer...

I'm not really happy with my Dashi portrayal in Eleven Misplaced. It's true that in the second universe he doesn't really get a chance to become the 'great warrior' of the first universe, but I still feel that he's being shortchanged by not even having one moment of the 'I am made of awesome!' that his entire character is based on.
On the other hand, I got in ChaseGuan from the PoVs of Chase, Guan and Dashi, so that's all right!
I like having both Wuya and Dashi thinking that the other would win in a fair fight, though, and both advising sneaky ways to win - Dashi with the puzzleboxes, and Wuya with her "Oh, we shouldn't have ever fought! Give me a hug, now! *backstabby*".
Random themes and subplots seem to appear out of no-where, which is a good thing - I always forget about them in pursuit of The Plot until Guan says something, and then there's suddenly a theme that was there all along. Heh.

The sad thing about my slashnotsmut fic is that I spent a month trying to figure out how to get 20th century characters into 15th-19th century folk tales (without killing anyone) and the time since staring at it, and then I can open a new document and write the same-length's worth of PoV from Daphne Greengrass in under an hour. -_-;;
The Daphne fic is based on the premise that a [insert term for the child of two muggleborns] was sorted into Slytherin, and the girls befriended her before they found out, and then sided with her against Pansy because of some third-year argument that seemed very important at the time. XD
And then 6th year happened, and they thought 'Oops' and tried to cover it up. XD
Actually, they've got a kind of spectrum going there - Daphne is a pureblood, Tracey Davies is a half-blood, and then Sophy Roper is a mudblood. And the lot of them occasionally hang out with Millicent Bulstrode or Theo Nott or Blaise Zabini, but not that often. And I have Daphne refer to herslf as 'Nameless But Typical Slytherin Number Four' when considering how her actions look.
