Fake Friends

"I totally have to agree with all of you who say people are getting fake on here. So I gave in- let's see who really reposts this. This is a test to see who's paying attention. It serves to eliminate people who are desperately trying to add "Friends" like its a popularity contest in High School. This is a test to see how many people in my friends list actually pay attention to me. Copy and repost in your own bulletin. Let's see who the true friends are, and I think I know who you are... Repost this if you are a friend. If you don't, you get deleted. Don't reply, just copy and paste this in a new bulletin as "Fake Friends"."

This was floating aroung my watch list on DA. Some bright spark apparently didn't realise the difference between an art site that happens to have an attatched blog and a blogging site. XD

Just not right to make your friends PROVE that they are your friends. That should done the moment you decide to be friends with them. XP

Agreed. And if you don't like someone, you should just take them off your list instead of coming up with a silly little test for them to fail XD;;

you can have friends on DA? wow... I must be really comfortable with my loser-ality.
And to me, "friends" who demand participation in a chain thingy are the kinds of friends best kept stuffed and nailed over a fireplace. Just my opinion.

By 'friends' here, I think it's taken as refering to 'watch list', but it probably came over from a blogging site where you do have an f-list.
